Say there do you know
I am sly and like a fox
Never quite truthful
Never crying anymore
Always flying out the door
I release the hawk
Say, my horns are grown
I am kicking up my heels
Till my seeds are sown
In my dust I’ll leave you sighing
Now the sun is in your eyes
I won’t be crying anymore
But I’m no grizzly
I’m simply a girl who can tell what she wants
It’s true I can bear all the bad things life brings
I always get honey along with the stings
Say there do you know
I’ve been basking in the sun
Skin’s about to go
Sliding sideways, winding byways
Pretty soon
You will lose me in the dunes
Say there are you near
The wind is howling on the point
Or is it wind I hear
Underneath the cypress trees
By the rolling seas
I let the wolf come out in me
But I’m no grizzly
I’m simply a girl who can tell what she wants
It’s true I can bear all the bad things life brings
I always get honey along with the stings
Say there do you know
I am sly and like a fox
Never quite truthful
Never crying anymore
Always flying out the door
I release the hawk
