Robert Frost once said, "When you want to do a 'think' on something, write about it." That's just what Ric and Billie Barbara did, before, during and after "The Middle Age Crazies" as they refer to the crisis period that almost ended a 20 year marriage. Presented here side by side like "His" and "Hers" towels, the poems, describing as only poems can, the events in each of their lives that led them to draw up their "Creative Divorce" contract. Followed by some verse that expresses how it feels to be in a relationship where the options come up once a year. The volume concludes with their answers to the ten questions most often asked after one of their "In-person" presentations.

First published in 1974, and after five printings, the Mastens let the book go out-of-print. Even so, a quarter century later they are still being besieged by people in similar situations asking them to put HIS & HERS back in print. "But we aren't there, anymore," they say and the answer invariably comes back "That's beside the point. We are!" And so for all of those who have requested it, the Mastens have decided to publish HIS & HERS here in Cyberspace.
